Ditto, holy shit. But I don't understand what's going on in this picture! Did the little bird hurt itself and the big bird is trying to help it? Or is the big bird trying to kill the little bird? What happened next??

I'm a little loathe to say, because I really like the black/white yin/yang of this, as an enigma.

But, okay. It's a good story: they were fighting over (I kid not) a giant slice of frozen pizza. It's barely visible under the big bruiser crow.

He'd beaked it up, apparently to scarf it whole. The smaller one landed a metre or two away and began crooning eerily human beseeching noises. That didn't work, so it moved right in to swipe the slice -- ballsy, but not well thought-out.

They spun 'round each other like a murderously noisy little crow tornado for some seconds, so wrapped up they didn't see moi sidle up. What you see here is the big bird sprawling itself rather piggily over the slice so the small one - in a submissive posture - can't get any. The small bird finally gave up and flew off, not apparently hurt.

When the big guy arose triumphantly astride his pizza, he saw a coyote, gave me what can I only call a beady-eyed double-take, and bugged out too.

Interesting thing? All day after, no crow (and lots were around) would come anywhere near that slice again...

Hey, I don't even want to know what they were fighting over.
The picture is stunning and Coyote, you're a painter, truly.

Hahahahah - I LOVE the tale! Birds give me the giggles - I love their personalities.

I would take this photo coyote, and do wonderfully cool graphical things with it....
