howdy.

i read your entry on Ruxton Island.

i have a cabin on the water on the east side facing valdez, just past the central marsh.

it has the basics required for survival... and all the comforts that arise in that.

if you ever wish to return, just ask.

Did you make this ice sculpture, Coyote? If so, I'm really starting to worry about you...

JC: I love that island. Only those who know Ruxton will realize how very generous an offer you make. I thank you.

Aggie: The irony. It's not an ice sculpture. It's a small shrine at the side of St. Theresa's Church, a block off Elgin on Somerset: standard-issue concrete madonna, more than a metre high, atop a large non-issue granite chunk, also more than a metre high. At least when they're not swamped in white.

We coyotes, as minor semi-mythical deities in certain alternative religous schemæ decidedly not endorsed by the universal church, are more likely to run to other subjects in our art... say, bunnies. But only when we're deranged enough to freeze our paws and asses sculpting ice in the first place.

Nice of you to ice over the truth, Coyote, but it's okay to let people know that you snapped a picture of me on my way to work. I got stuck in that snowbank for about a week, if not more. Brr...

I thought you'd seemed a little frosty lately...
