What are they building down there? I walked by a few weeks ago and it seemed like they are only erecting solid metal walls. It was as if they were constructing some sort of evil, terrifying death machine.

The metal walls, now being driven into the ground, might be akin to the world's longest basement digging project, just the other side of Place Bell.

Coyotes ain't engineers. We're much dumber. And far less confident. So pro caveat emptor, Ruhh-dude.

But both projects look like they may be approaches to floating foundations or coffer dams. Which would help to stabilize high-rises being built on land shot through with leda clay... which downtown Ottawa, pretty much, is...
