We're on a voyage
to ocean, by river
carried by currents
now nearer, now farther
sometimes in eddies
but always in motion
always moved further
till salt brine surrounds us
in red-yellow clusters
and at last to green water
we sink in the sea

I like the movement in this. Tell me, Coyote, why is it called 'Leaves'?
I like 'Eddy'.

The new illustration is for 'Topography'.
The new one on babushka? With your permission, I'll borrow it from you and post it with the poem, later today. Thank, you Lucy. I'm a lucky coyote.
The answer to your question has more than one part: because 'leaves' has more than one meaning; because the eddies are backwaters and digressions; because we must all travel the journey; and because...
This poem makes me sad. Puts me to mind of the last cruise of the Vendetta. we sink in the sea
Time to stop dwelling on it and move on, Dwarf.
The illustration for 'Topography' is on digitalgarlic now. I apologise, should've left a note here after uploading the image on babushka first. There seems to be some problem uploading it on babushka.
Please borrow the illustration, it's for the poem. This happens to be the first time I've tried a digital collage (if I can call it that).
Coyote, stop dwelling and move on? I'm not the one writing poems about ocean voyages gone wrong.
The Topography illustration is magnificent. It's like a perfect poem.
Thank you, 4th Dwarf.
Two things:
Lucy, that is brilliant! I can add no more to what the dwarf says, except to say that I am completely awed... thank you.
And Dwarf, what gives you the idea that today's posting is a voyage gone wrong? I'd maintain that it goes exactly where it should...
