Away from the day's
buzzing heat and glare
she could be resting now
but even in this shaded room
I can see
a bare hint of Picasso blue
run
through her searching dark eyes
as she stares intently
out the French doors
to the bright uneven terrace
calm
but for restless fingers
sketching
clever perspective lines
between patterned tiles
a table with a checked cloth
and the single empty chair
where she sits
sometimes
looking far out
over the stone balustrade
at bright
possibilities.

I'd say, your experiment has turned out a wonderful 'something small'. Hail to experiments. For now, it has been added to my green hand sewn book, written in black ink, with crowquill, with other poems by you.
The moon is out already.
Thank You!
You're welcome. I enjoyed this. And what shape is your moon tonight?
My moon is an Orange, not just the colour, but the fruit, as well (oranges are one of those rare ones..). It's a whole orange. It is only 5:40 in the evening but the sky's behaving like it's past 10 at night.
(nods disapprovingly and smiles)
A full moon... perfect for coyotes, even if it is early.
Why didn't you use 4th Dwarf's drawing, I thought it was a good one!
Ohhhh, the short guy has gotten me into enough trouble in the past several months already. I try not to encourage him too much.
One last attempt.
It is a good drawing...
Babushka is opening fine for me.
As for the trouble you've gotten into, Coyote, I think you need to take more responsibility for your life.
Coming back to the poem, I love these lines...
...even in this shaded room
I can see
a bare hint of Picasso blue ..
Sometimes its good to steal a little something from a genius to use, even if he works in a different medium....
The little 'somethings' are delightful things.
